HOW I'M JUGGLING MY BUSINESS AND MY NEW FULL-TIME JOB

Are you struggling to make time to work your business while also working a full-time job?

Here are a few of my top tips on how I'm juggling my new full-time job and still working my business.

#1 - USE TIME BLOCKING

  • Y'all know that I am a HUGE fan of time blocking, and this has helped me tremendously!

  • Block off your days between the hours when you have to work and the hours that you want to work your business.

  • Once your time is blocked off, then you can schedule what you want to accomplish for your business in your business work block.

#2 - SET BOUNDARIES

  • While it's tempting to mix my business hours and my work hours together, it's not productive. This is why I have the following boundaries.

  • My school hours are 7-2 and I am hyper focused on my students, my lessons, and my grades.

  • When I'm working my business after school, I'm doing the tasks that I have assigned for myself to complete that day.

#3 - HAVE SYSTEMS

  • I couldn't function without systems in my life and having business systems helps me stay consistent.

  • All of my themed posts are scheduled one month ahead of time in my VIP group, one week ahead of time in my online parties, and the day before for my personal social media.

  • I also have different days when I do different tasks for my business which also helps me stay on task -- for instance following up every single Friday.

#4 - HAVE A CEO DAY

  • One day each week, I scheduled a day where I just work on my personal business.

  • Saturday and Sunday mornings are spent planning and scheduling for the week. This makes everything run smoothly during the week incase something unexpected pops up.

  • Having a plan or being overly prepared will help you focus more on customer service or even creating content for your business community.

Working my new full-time position and my business at the same time would be challenging if I didn't use time blocking. Scheduling my time and setting boundaries has helped me create a routine where I can be successful.
