MY TOP TIPS ON HOW TO SURVIVE YOUR FIRST WEEK BACK TO SCHOOL
Are you ready for your kiddos to go back to school, but are secretly dreading your insane schedule?
Here are a few of my top tips on how to survive your first week back to school.
#1 - THE SCHEDULE
School schedules and calendars change year after year. Always have the school calendar and bell schedule ready for your kiddos.
If you have multiple children in different schools, then you will need to figure out who goes to school where and when.
HOT TIP - days off during the year mean sleeping in, doctor's appointments or family fun adventures!
#2 - THE MEALS
We have a pretty consistent breakfast schedule for school days - waffles and bacon with fruit, cereal and toast, pop tarts or donuts for Fridays.
The boys all help me pack their lunch snacks the night before and I make all lunches on Sunday.
Most of our dinners are made on Sunday so all we have to do is reheat them in the oven for a quick healthy meal.
#3 - THE OUTFITS
The boys all pick out their clothes for the next day the night before. This saves so much wasted time in the closet looking for something to wear.
Since I'm back at school too, I will pick out my clothes for the entire week and line them up in order by days.
HOT TIP - having short hair makes getting ready in the morning easier!
#4 - THE RIDE TO SCHOOL
Since I'm teaching at the boys' high school, I'll be taking them to and from school. This will also be helpful when the boys are learning to drive too.
Dom wants to go on the bus with his friends this year so he needs to know where to go and what time. I'm excited for him to have a little independence.
A new school year is always so exciting for the students, teachers, and parents too. When you make a plan for back to school week, your execution will be seamless and everyone will have a great week!
