MY TOP TIPS ON HOW TO WORK YOUR BUSINESS THIS SUMMER

Summer is a great time to take a break and relax from the crazy school year we just had. Does that mean you should take a break from your business? HECK NO!

Here are a few of my tips on how to keep your business fun during the summer.

#1 - SET OFFICE HOURS

  • We all want to spend time with our families, go on vacation, and just soak up the sun during the summer. Setting office hours for when you want to work your business is the first step.

  • I schedule my "work block" for the morning hours when everyone is asleep (lots of sleeping in over here). I'm able to accomplish so much when it's quiet in the house.

  • Then, I have the entire day to go to the pool, movies, or day trips with the boys.

#2 - SCHEDULE IN ADVANCE

  • Scheduling all of my posts for social media and scheduling my emails in advance has been a game changer.

  • Every Sunday, I plan out my content for the week in my VIP group, my Instagram, my YouTube Channel, and my newsletters.

  • My posts are scheduled one week or sometimes a month in advance so everything runs smoothly when we are enjoying our day.

  • HOT TIP - You can use a third party app to schedule in Facebook or use the Facebook Scheduling for Facebook and the Business Suite for Instagram.

#3 - BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR VIP’S

  • One of the most difficult things in the summer is to be consistent. I get it!

  • I have found that if you post every single day in your VIP group on Facebook, your members will be more likely to shop when you announce a sale or new product. If you are inconsistent, your members are less likely to see your new posts and therefore may leave your group. Posting 1-2 times per day is the perfect amount of content.

  • HOT TIP - Create a fun giveaway event when you are on vacation. This way, you have content scheduled ahead of time in your group and you have a ton of fun engagement happening while you are on vacation.

#4 - SHOW UP ON INSTAGRAM

  • Social media fatigue is real and I completely understand. The best way to work your business over the summer is to show up as YOU!

  • Your followers may be your family, friends, and customers, but they also want to see what you are doing all summer long.

  • Share your adventures, your ice cream trips, your pool days, and everything in between. We all want to see you living your best life and in turn will be ready to shop when you have the best deals this summer!

Showing up for yourself, your business, and your customers during the summer is an easy task if you stay consistent and set your office hours early in the day!
