MY TOP TIPS ON HOW TO INCORPORATE SELF-CARE INTO YOUR SCHEDULE

Practicing self-care on a daily basis is a high priority for me. This makes me a better mom, wife, daughter, and friend to my loved ones. Here are a few of my top tips on how to practice self-care on a daily basis.

  1. Go through your schedule and find either a half hour or an hour that is devoted to just you!

  2. Decide which activity or activities you want to accomplish in your free time. You could work out, meditate, go shopping -- whatever makes you happy!

  3. Write in a gratitude journal or a self-care planner about your day, give yourself a compliment, or take the time to reflect on all that you accomplished this past week.

  4. Try and schedule in some bonus time for yourself for pampering or even taking a nap. Feeling good about yourself and getting enough rest is so important.

My favorite thing to do for self-care is to take a nap. I have been napping for the last forty one years and it doesn't look like I'm stopping anytime soon!

Put yourself at the top of your to-do list every single day, and the rest will fall into place.
