MY TOP TIPS ON HOW TO SAVE YOU THREE HOURS IN THE KITCHEN
Do you spend hours in the kitchen each week just to make the boring same old staple Kraft Mac n Cheese?
Here are a few of my top tips on how to save three hours in the kitchen with just 20 minutes a week!
#1 - PLAN:
Spend 20 minutes and sit down with your family, your significant other, or anyone in your house and talk about your favorite foods.
Once you have a list of your favorite foods, then work backwards.
How can you plug and chug these meals into your weekly schedule?
#2 - GROCERY STORE
Check your local flyers or look online at your favorite supermarket and determine what meals you can make with what is on sale.
Sometimes you may need to improvise depending on what is available at your store, and that's ok too!
#3 - COOK IN ADVANCE
Choose a day where you can make meals ahead of time or at least make all of your proteins.
This will allow you to make veggies in the microwave or a quick starch to go with your proteins.
HOT TIP - grill everything all in one day and portion out meals for easy access on your crazy nights during the week.
Here's a little HOT TIP for all of you who have picky eaters. Always use vegetable noodles when making any kind of pasta dish, especially homemade mac n cheese. My boys have no idea they are eating veggies in their favorite meal!
When you plan ahead for the week with your meals, you have the flexibility to make changes when life throws you curveballs.
